The famous Green Parrot bar has a long and crazy history, so who better to tell it's story than the owner. I worked with Wonderdog Studios to create multiple illustrations (including the illustration of the owner himself) that would then be animated by another member of the Wonderdog Team. These animations are meant to help the audience understand and visualize the mini stories behind each item hanging in the bar.
The portrait of "Father Frenchie" is one of those items hanging up in the bar. We created his portrait by looking at the photo of him. Then illustrated parts of his story by creating the different outfits that he wore in each period of his life. We also created his "Peruvian wife" and the "Crying tourists" characters.
